Table of contents
What is 2FA?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is an additional security method that verifies the identity of the user attempting to access an account.
Benefits
- Prevention of cyber attacks: Makes unauthorized access to information systems more difficult.
- Protection against unrecognized accesses: Prevents logins from unknown devices.
- Reduced risk of account theft: Only the authorized user can access through a code.
- Greater control and security: Only the user will have access to the account via a verification code.
Activating two-factor authentication is important to increase the security of your accounts and protect your personal and sensitive information from unauthorized access.
How does it work?
At envia.com, we use a QR code authentication method, adding an additional layer of security for users who choose to activate it. The process is as follows:
- Login: Access your account on envia.com.
- 2FA Activation: A screen will appear to activate 2FA with a QR code. You can temporarily ignore this option if you prefer.
- App Installation: To activate 2FA, you need to install an application like Google Authenticator and scan the QR code.
- Continuous Verification: Once activated, each time you log in, enter the verification code generated by the application.
- Device Reminder: The device will be remembered for 30 days. After this period, or if you use a new device, the code will be requested again.
Activating 2FA is an effective way to protect your accounts and ensure that only you have access to your personal information.
