Automatic payments

Automatic payments help you keep your operations running smoothly by eliminating the need for manual payments. Depending on your account type, this feature can be set up in two ways.

  • Automatic payment for balance recharges
  • Automatic payment for lines of credit

ℹ️ Only the user with SuperAdmi role can activate this function.

Automatic payment for balance recharges

Avoid running out of credit and keep your shipments active by setting up automatic recharges that are triggered when your account goes below the limit you define.

You can set up automatic payment using two methods:

Set Up with a Card

  • Define a minimum balance (the limit that will trigger the recharge).
  • Define a fixed recharge amount (amount to be charged automatically).
  • When your account balance falls below the minimum, the system automatically reloads it using the card you've marked as a favorite.

Make sure you have a valid card on file with Ecart Pay and that your account is verified before enabling automatic payment.

Steps to activate

  1. Go to Settings > Methods of payment
  2. Click Automatic payment to enable the functionality.
  3. In the selector Method of paymentchoose from the following Card.

If you already have cards registered, the system will automatically select the one marked as a favorite. To change it, click on Manage payment methods and mark another card with a star (⭐). That will be the one used for automatic charges.

  1. Set the parameters:
    • Minimum balance: the threshold at which the recharge is triggered.
    • Amount to recharge: a fixed amount that will be charged automatically.
  2. Click Save.

Set up using the interbank CLABE (Mexico only)

The system automatically debits your bank account whenever your balance falls below the minimum you set. The debits are processed between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Step 1: Register your CLABE

Before you can select CLABE as your automatic payment method, you must register and validate it.

  1. In Settings > Payment Methods, click Add next to Interbank CLABE.
  2. Enter your 18-digit CLABE and you RFC. Your bank's name is automatically detected when you enter the first few digits.
  3. Add a alias Optional if you have more than one account.
  4. Confirm. Your CLABE will remain in the Pending while STP verifies that the CLABE and RFC correspond to the same account (approx. 7 minutes).

Why do they ask for the RFC? STP requires this to confirm that the bank account belongs to your company. Without this validation, it is not possible to authorize direct debits.

Step 2: Set up automatic payment with CLABE

  1. In Settings > Payment Methods, click Automatic Payment > Set Up.
  2. In the selector Method of paymentchoose from the following Interbank CLABE. If you don't have a validated CLABE yet, this option will say “You need to verify your CLABE first” and it will be disabled.
  3. If you have more than one validated CLABE, choose which one to use.
  4. Set the parameters:
    • Minimum balance: the threshold at which the recharge is triggered.
    • Amount to recharge: amount that will be charged automatically.
  5. Click Save. You'll receive an email from Ecart Pay to Accept the Terms and Conditions direct debit. Automatic payment will not be activated until you accept that email.

Once it's active, you'll see a summary showing the payment method, the amounts, and the CLABE to which the charge will be applied.

Transactions with CLABE are processed between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., Monday through Friday. If the threshold is reached outside of those hours, the charge will be processed during the next available time window.

Switch between CLABE and card

You can only have only one active automatic payment method at a time. Switching to CLABE overrides any previous card rules, and vice versa.

Delete a CLABE

  1. In Settings > Payment Methods, click the delete icon next to the CLABE.
  2. Be aware of the consequences: if that CLABE has an active automatic payment set up, the scheduled charges will be canceled.
  3. Check the confirmation box and click Confirm.

Edit the automatic recharge amounts

You can change your settings at any time, either with a card or your CLABE.

  1. Go to Settings > Payment Methods > Automatic Payment.
  2. Adjust:
    • Minimum balance: threshold that triggers recharging.
    • Amount to recharge: how much will be charged automatically.
  3. Click Save.

The changes take effect immediately.

Automatic payment for line of credit

If you have a line of credit, you can set up automatic payments to pay off your debt securely and without any manual intervention.

Only users with the role SuperAdmin and with an account at Mexico can enable this feature.

How does it work?

  • The system will automatically charge you the total amount of your debt one day before the payment deadline (deadline).
  • The amount depends on the consumption during the credit period.
  • The charge is made from your default card.
