Overweights in shipments
The Overweights section allows you to view and manage additional charges resulting from weight discrepancies in your shipments. With this tool, you'll have greater control and transparency to efficiently resolve any discrepancies.
What can you do in this section?
- View details. Check the declared weight, the weight reported by the carrier, the extra weight, and additional charges.
- Manage tickets. Report overweight irregularities directly from the platform.
- Upload evidence. Submit documentation or proof related to the detected weight.

Steps to check overweights
- Log in to your envia.com account
- Go to the Shipments > Overweights
- Review the table with important information:
- Service. Selected carrier and shipment tracking number.
- Declared weight. Weight you registered when creating the shipment.
- Reported weight. Weight validated by the carrier.
- Extra weight. Additional weight detected by the carrier.
- Charge. Additional cost for the overweight.
- Status Current shipment status.
- Date. Date the carrier detected the overweight.
- Actions. Available options such as:
- View ticket, Report a problem, View label, Track shipment, Upload shipment evidence, or Generate a return label.

In the Overweights section, you can view detailed information about your shipments and manage any issues related to overweights.

Searcher | Find a shipment by entering the tracking number. |
Status | Filter shipments by their current status. |
Date | Filter shipments within a specific time range. |
Download | Download shipment details in CSV format for control. |
Steps to report a problem
- Find the shipment and click on the Report a problem button
- Complete the form and upload the necessary evidence to generate an overweight ticket
Important: Reports must be submitted within 90 days after creating the shipment label.
How to avoid overweights
An overweight occurs when the declared weight at the time of shipment creation does not match the weight reported by the carrier. To avoid this, follow these steps:
- Check the maximum weight and dimensions allowed by the carriers
- Review the dimensions, volumetric weight, and physical weight before generating the label.
- Make sure to include the packaging in your calculations.
- Follow each carrier’s specific recommendations

Why do I have an overweight charge?
When the carrier detects a weight greater than initially declared, the cost is automatically adjusted according to the shipment’s actual weight.
What evidence should I upload for a report?
Upload photos of the package, a capture of the weight on a certified scale, and any supporting documents for your case.
What happens if more than 90 days have passed?
If 90 days have passed, you won’t be able to file a report through the platform. However, you can contact the support team for additional help.
