When shipping within Mexico, it is important to consider that some carriers apply additional charges depending on the characteristics of the package or the destination. These charges may be generated for reasons such as deliveries to remote areas, address corrections, excess weight or dimensions, among others.

A additional charge is an extra charge that is added to the base price of the shipment when there are special conditions that imply more effort, risk or logistics for the parcel.

AMPM

Additional charge	Description
Oversized dimensions	Charge applied when the shipment exceeds the maximum dimensions allowed, generating an additional adjustment for volume or size.
Return to Origin	Additional charge generated if the package cannot be delivered and must be returned to the sender.
Address correction	Charge applied for correcting or updating the address when the shipment has errors or incomplete information.

DHL

Additional charge	Description
Address correction	Charge applied when an incorrect address must be corrected on the shipment to achieve successful delivery.
Additional handling	Special handling charge for shipments with two or more pieces under the same waybill or bill of lading. Applies only for domestic products.
Additional Management	Extra charge for handling pieces with physical weight between 25 kg and 70 kg. Does not apply if there is already a surcharge for overweight or oversize.
Extended zone	Additional charge for picking up or delivering shipments in locations classified as remote, difficult to reach or remote areas.
Oversized dimensions	Charge applied when one or more pieces of the shipment exceed 100 cm on any of its sides or exceed 70 kg of actual or volumetric weight.
Shipping insurance	Optional charge to insure the shipment for an amount that exceeds the standard liability, protecting the total value of the goods.

Dostavista

Additional charge	Description
Return to origin	Charge applied when the package cannot be delivered and needs to be returned to the sender. The cost is equivalent to the value of the original sale.
Address correction	Address correction charge applied when the recipient's information is incorrect or needs to be updated during the delivery process.
Delivery retry	Additional charge when delivery must be reattempted because the recipient was not available or requested more time to receive the package.

Additional handling	Special handling charge for shipments with irregular packaging, bulky or fragile contents that require additional handling.
Additional handling (Metropolitan Service)	Special charge for handling fragile material or packaging in services within metropolitan areas.
Address correction	Charge for making a change or correction to the registered shipping address.
Additional handling	Charge for exceeding dimensional limits: when one side of the package exceeds 100 cm or when the sum of length + circumference exceeds 330 cm. (without exceeding 419 cm).
Extended zone	Additional charge for delivery in areas classified as extended, difficult to access or low coverage.
Shipping insurance	Optional charge to insure the total value of the goods over and above the standard coverage offered by the carrier.

FedEx

Additional charge	Description
Extended zone	Additional charge for picking up or delivering packages in areas classified as remote or difficult to reach by zip code.
Additional handling (Irregular packaging)	Charge applied when the package has irregular characteristics such as protruding from the packaging or being packed in non-corrugated materials.
Additional handling (Weight)	Additional charge for packages whose actual weight is greater than 31 kg (88 lbs) (70 pounds).
Oversized dimensions	Cargo when a package measures more than 121 cm on its longest side, 76 cm wide or 266 cm in circumference.
Shipping insurance	Optional charge to insure the declared value of the shipment with maximum coverage amounts depending on the type of package and item shipped.
Address correction	Charge for correcting or completing an incorrect or incomplete recipient address when the telephone number is also invalid.
Saturday pickup	Charge for requesting package pickup on Saturdays. Available in most cities in Mexico.
Oversized dimensions (Oversize)	Extra charge for packages exceeding 243 cm in length or 330 cm in total circumference.
Surcharge for high demand	Variable charge applied in high demand seasons.
Delivery on invoice acceptance	National round-trip service that allows the retrieval of physical documents such as invoices, contracts or acknowledgements of receipt upon delivery.
Residential delivery	Additional charge for delivery to residential address instead of commercial.
Return to origin	Charge representing 50% of the original shipping cost when the package is to be returned to the sender.

UPS

Additional charge	Description

Residential delivery	Additional charge applied to shipments delivered to private residential addresses.
Pickup (Label printing)	Label printing service at the time of pick-up, as an additional assistance to the customer.
Pickup (Saturday delivery)	Saturday pick-up or delivery service, mainly for international shipments.
Oversized dimensions (Larger package size)	Charge applied to packages exceeding 300 cm in total length and circumference, without exceeding 400 cm. Oversized packages are charged a minimum of 40 kg.
Oversized dimensions (Maximum limits exceeded)	Charge for packages exceeding the maximum weight (over 70 kg) or size limits (over 274 cm in length or 400 cm in circumference). These packages are not accepted for standard transport.
Early harvesting	Charge for requesting an early pickup of the package before standard service hours.
Additional handling	Charge applied to packages that require special handling due to their size, weight or type of packaging (cylindrical, metallic, wood, etc.). Not applicable if an Exceeded Maximum Limits charge has already been applied.
Prohibited items	Additional charge if the package contains prohibited or restricted items that do not comply with UPS policies or applicable regulations.
Address correction	Charge for correcting or updating the shipping address when it contains errors or is incomplete.
Import taxes	Charge applied when customs duties and taxes are billed to the sender or to a third party outside the country of destination.
