2FA: Two-factor authentication

What is 2FA?

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a two-step authentication (2FA) system that uses a two-step authentication (2FA) process. “Two-Factor Authentication”) is an additional security method that verifies the identity of the user attempting to access an account.

Activating 2FA is an effective way to protect your accounts and ensure that only you have access to your personal information.

How does it work?

At Envia.com we use a QR code authentication method, adding an extra layer of security for users who choose to activate it. The process is as follows:

  1. Login: Access your account on envia.com.
  2. 2FA Activation: A screen will appear to activate 2FA with a QR code. You can temporarily ignore this option if you prefer.
  3. App Installation: To activate 2FA, you need to install an application like Google Authenticator and scan the QR code.
  4. Continuous Verification: Once activated, each time you log in, enter the verification code generated by the application.
  5. Device Reminder: The device will be remembered for 30 days. After this period, or if you use a new device, the code will be requested again.

Remove 2FA

Please note: By removing 2FA, your account will lose this additional layer of security and will be protected only with your password.

1. Log in to your Envia.com account.

2. In the side menu, go to Settings > My account.

3. Enter the section Security.

4. Locate the option Two-factor authentication and click on the delete icon 🗑️.

5. In the pop-up window, click on Delete to confirm.

FAQ

Can I disable two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Yes, as a customer, you have the option to disable two-factor authentication (2FA) by logging into your account in Accounts. Once inside, go to the Profile button and select Security. From there, you will be able to manage your 2FA settings and remove the method if you previously set it up with an application.


Is it possible to change the authentication details of another user within the same company?

No, two-factor authentication (2FA) and the associated data are the individual responsibility of each user, even if they belong to the same company. For security and privacy reasons, it is not permitted for one user to request or alter the authentication details of another user.
