Place the printed label

To get fast, error-free shipping, place a label or sheet with the following information on your merchandise:

Sender information

  • Name
  • Address (street, neighborhood, ZIP or postal code)
  • Weights and dimensions
  • References

Recipient information

  • Name or company
  • Destination city
  • Address (street, neighborhood, ZIP or postal code)
  • Phone

It is a good idea to include copies and supporting invoices in your shipments, or at least in one part of your merchandise.

  • Print the label and make sure it is clear and readable.
  • Place the label in a plastic pouch or adhesive sleeve.
  • If you use a pouch, stick it on the outside of the package. If you do not use a pouch, stick the label directly on the package.
  • If you do not use a pouch, make sure the edges are fully taped down.
  • Check that the label faces up and is visible.

Correct label placement

Correct label placement

Covered label

Box with incorrect label placement; tape covers the label so it cannot be read.

A label that is partially covered by tape is hard to read.

Label on two sides

Box with incorrect label placement across two sides

Placing the label across two sides of the box can cause confusion.

Wrinkled label

Box with incorrect wrinkled label placement

A folded or wrinkled label hides the information.
