Automatic payments

Automatic payment helps you keep operations running without interruptions, so you do not have to make manual payments. Depending on the type of account you have, this feature can apply in two ways.

• Automatic payment for balance top-ups
• Automatic payment for credit lines

Important

Only the user with the SuperAdmin role can enable this feature. It is only available for customers in Mexico.

Automatic payment for balance top-ups

Avoid running out of balance and keep your shipments active by configuring automatic top-ups that trigger when your account falls below the limit you set.

You can configure automatic payment with two methods:

Method	Availability	Fee

Interbank CLABE	Mexico only	1.1% with a cap of $100 MXN

Configure with a card

• Set a minimum balance (the limit that will trigger the top-up).
• Set a fixed top-up amount (the amount that will be charged automatically).
• When your account falls below the minimum balance, the system tops up from the card marked as favorite.

Note

Make sure you have a valid card registered in Ecart Pay and that your account is verified before you enable automatic payment.

Steps to enable

1. Go to Settings > Payment methods

2. Click Automatic payment to enable the feature.

3. In the Payment method selector, choose Card.

   Note

   If you already have cards registered, the system will automatically select the one marked as favorite. To change it, click Manage payment methods and mark another card with the star (⭐). That is the one that will be used for automatic charges.

4. Set the parameters:

   • Minimum balance: the limit from which the top-up is triggered.
   • Amount to top up: the fixed amount that will be charged automatically.

5. Click Save.

Configure with interbank CLABE (Mexico only)

The system charges your bank account directly every time your balance falls below the minimum you set. Charges are processed between 6 PM and 8 PM, Monday through Friday.

Step 1: Register your CLABE

Before you can choose CLABE as an automatic payment method, you must register and validate it.

1. In Settings > Payment methods, click Add next to Interbank CLABE.

2. Enter your 18-digit CLABE and your RFC. Your bank name is detected automatically when you type the first digits.

3. Add an optional alias if you have more than one account.

4. Confirm. Your CLABE will stay in Pending status while STP validates that the CLABE and RFC belong to the same account (about 7 minutes).

   Note

   Why do they ask for the RFC? STP requires it to confirm that the bank account belongs to your company. Without that validation, direct charges cannot be authorized.

CLABE statuses

Status	What it means	What to do
Pending	STP is validating your CLABE and RFC	Wait a few minutes and refresh the page
Validated	Ready to use for automatic payment	Go to Step 2
Terms pending	STP approved your CLABE, but you have not accepted the Ecart Pay T&C yet	Check your email and accept the link they sent you
Rejected	The CLABE + RFC combination does not match	Verify your data and try again
Inactive	The CLABE was canceled or revoked	Register a new CLABE

Step 2: Enable automatic payment with CLABE

1. In Settings > Payment methods, click Automatic payment > Configure.
2. In the Payment method selector, choose Interbank CLABE. If you do not have a validated CLABE yet, this option will say “You need to validate a CLABE first” and will be disabled.
3. If you have more than one validated CLABE, choose which one to use.
4. Set the parameters:
   • Minimum balance: the limit from which the top-up is triggered.
   • Amount to top up: the amount that will be charged automatically.
5. Click Save. You will receive an email from Ecart Pay to accept the Terms and Conditions for the direct charge. Automatic payment is not active until you accept that email.

Once it is active, you will see a summary with the method, the amounts, and the CLABE that will receive the charge.

Note

CLABE charges are processed between 6 PM and 8 PM, Monday through Friday. If the threshold is reached outside that window, the charge will run in the next available window.

Switch between CLABE and card

You can have only one automatic payment method active at a time. Switching to CLABE replaces any previous card rule, and vice versa.

Delete a CLABE

1. In Settings > Payment methods, click the delete icon next to the CLABE.
2. Review the consequences: if that CLABE has an active automatic payment, the scheduled charges will be canceled.
3. Check the confirmation box and click Confirm.

Edit automatic top-up amounts

You can change the parameters at any time, whether with a card or CLABE.

1. Go to Settings > Payment methods > Automatic payment.

2. Adjust:

   • Minimum balance: the threshold that triggers the top-up.
   • Amount to top up: how much will be charged automatically.

3. Click Save.

   Note

   Changes apply immediately.

Automatic payment for a credit line

If you have a credit line, you can enable automatic payment to settle your debt securely and without manual intervention.

Important

Only users with the SuperAdmin role and an account in Mexico can enable this feature.

How does it work?

• The system will automatically charge the total of your debt one day before the payment due date (last day of the term).
• The amount depends on usage during the credit period.
• The charge is made from your default card.
