Overweights on shipments
The My overweights section lets you view and manage additional charges that come from weight differences on your shipments. With this tool, you will have more control and transparency to resolve any discrepancies efficiently.
What can you do in this section?
- View details. Check the declared weight, the weight reported by the carrier, the extra weight, and additional charges.
- Manage tickets. Report overweight irregularities directly from the platform.
- Upload evidence. Upload documentation or proof related to the detected weight.
Steps to view overweights
Section titled “Steps to view overweights”- Sign in to your envia.com account
- Go to the Shipments > My Overweights section
- Review the table that shows important information:
- Service. Selected carrier and shipment tracking number.
- Declared weight. Weight you registered when you generated the shipment.
- Reported weight. Weight validated by the carrier.
- Extra weight. Additional weight detected by the carrier.
- Charge. Additional cost for the overweight.
- Status. Current shipment status.
- Date. Date the carrier detected the overweight.
- Actions. Available options such as:
- View ticket, Report a problem, View label, Track shipment, Upload shipment evidence, or Generate return label.
Available functions
Section titled “Available functions”In the My overweights section you can view detailed information about your shipments and manage any issue related to overweight.

How to avoid an overweight
Section titled “How to avoid an overweight”An overweight occurs when the weight declared when generating a shipment does not match the weight reported by the carrier. To avoid it, follow these steps:
- Check the maximum dimensions and weights allowed by carriers
- Review dimensions, volumetric weight, and physical weight before generating the label.
- Make sure to include packaging in your calculations.
- Follow each carrier’s specific recommendations

Frequently asked questions
Section titled “Frequently asked questions”Why do I have an overweight charge?
When the carrier detects a weight greater than what was originally declared, the cost is adjusted automatically based on the actual shipment weight.
What evidence should I upload for a report?
Upload photos of the package, a capture of the weight on a certified scale, and any document that supports your case.
What happens if more than 90 days have passed?
If more than 90 days have passed, you will not be able to generate a report from the platform. However, you can contact the support team for additional help.
Can I prevent an overweight when I calculate my label? Yes, if you follow the recommendations in our dimensions and weight article, you can avoid overweights.
