Shipment types

On Envia.com you can ship anything from a document envelope to a pallet of industrial goods. Choosing the right type matters: it affects available carriers, how cost is calculated, and the data you need to enter.

Envelope / Box

Best for small or medium shipments. You can send anything from a document envelope to boxes with products.

LTL (Less Than Truckload) is the option for palletized freight that does not fill a full truck. You share transport space with other shipments, which lowers the cost.

Pallet - Less-than-truckload (LTL)

LTL (Less Than Truckload) is the option for palletized freight that does not fill a full truck. You share transport space with other shipments, which lowers the cost.

Use it when you ship:

• Loads that need a pallet for handling and transport
• Industrial goods, appliances, furniture, or other high-volume products

Maximum dimensions

Double pallet: 240 cm (length) x 120 cm (width) x 160 cm (height)

Standard pallet: 100 cm (length) x 120 cm (width) x 160 cm (height)

Full truckload (FTL)

FTL (Full Truckload) is for loads that occupy a full transport unit. Best for large volumes or deliveries that need more control and security.

Use it when:

• Your freight fills or almost fills a truck
• You need a dedicated unit without sharing space
• The volume or value of the load justifies the cost of a full truck

How to select the shipment type

When you create a label in Create shipment > Create label, you will see the Shipment type section with the four available tabs. Select the one that matches your shipment before you enter dimensions and quote.

If you select the wrong type, quote results and the required data will change. Always check the type before you continue.
