High Value Protection (UPS)

High Value Protection is additional coverage available exclusively for shipments made with UPS.

This service increases the carrier’s liability limit in case of loss or physical damage during transport.

Availability

It is only available for shipments with UPS.
It is turned on when you generate your label.
Only one protection can be chosen per shipment. If High Value Protection is turned on, Envia Insurance is turned off automatically.

Maximum coverage limits

Domestic shipments (Mexico)

Up to $125,000 MXN per package
Up to $500,000 MXN per transport

International shipments

Up to $10,000 USD per package
Up to $50,000 USD per transport

The amount to be indemnified will be the lesser of:

The declared value
The value proven on the invoice
The repair cost (if applicable)

Service cost

The rate is calculated based on the declared value of the shipment.

An additional charge is applied for each increase in declared value.
There is a minimum charge per shipment.
The exact cost is shown during the quote with UPS.

Requirements for the protection to apply

Declare the value of the contents correctly.
Keep the product and original packaging in case of an incident.
Present an invoice or proof of value.
Comply with the established packing guidelines.

If these requirements are not met, the claim may be rejected.

Basic packing guidelines

Packing compliance is mandatory.

Use a double box (an additional outer box).
New corrugated cardboard boxes.
Sufficient cushioning material (bubble wrap, foam, etc.).
The box must be completely filled, with no empty spaces.
Do not include marks or indications of the contents on the outside.
