Create a shipping label

Generating a label on envia.com is fast and simple. In a few steps you can compare carriers, choose the one that works best for you, and have your label ready to ship. This guide walks you through each part of the process.

Before you start

Have on hand:

• The complete origin address (who sends): name, street, number, neighborhood, and postal code
• The complete destination address (who receives): the same data
• The exact package measurements: length, width, height, and weight

Important

Using exact measurements is important. The final cost is calculated by the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight, and there may be additional charges if there are differences at shipping time.

Steps to create your label

1. In the left sidebar, go to Create shipment > Create label.

Note

If you already quoted from the quoter, your addresses and package data will load automatically. You can continue from step 3.

2. Complete the addresses

Complete the Origin (sender) and Destination (recipient) data:

• Full name
• Street and number
• Neighborhood and postal code
• City and state

Note

If you have saved favorite addresses, they will be preloaded automatically. You can edit or change them from this same screen.

Note

Avoid using special characters in address fields to prevent errors when generating the label.

3. Enter the package data

Complete your package dimensions and weight:

• Length, width, and height in centimeters
• Weight in kilograms

Note

Document and photograph the measurements before shipping. This can be key if you need to manage a refund for overweight charges.

4. Select your carrier

Click Quote to see the available options. Compare delivery times and prices, and select the carrier that works best for you.

5. Review additional services

After you select your carrier, you will see the available additional services (they vary by carrier). They may include:

• Insurance: turn it on and enter the declared value of the product to protect your shipment in case of loss or damage
• Other special services depending on the carrier

Some services may come preselected automatically by the carrier. Review this section before you continue.

If there are more than two services available, click See more to view all options.

6. Choose how to hand over your package

Depending on the carrier you chose, you have different options:

Option	What does it mean?
Schedule pickup	The carrier picks up the package at your origin address. Choose an available date and time.
Automatic pickup	The carrier schedules it automatically when the label is generated. You do not need to do anything else.
Required pickup	The carrier requires pickup. The option is already turned on and you cannot uncheck it.
No pickup	You must take the package to the nearest carrier branch.

Note

The pickup option only appears if the carrier you chose supports it. If you do not see this section, you will need to take the package directly to a branch.

7. Generate your label

Check that all data is correct and click Generate shipment. Your label will be ready to download and print.

8. Upload photo evidence of the package

Once the label is generated, you will see a section to upload the photo of your package. We recommend doing this every time:

1. Click the upload icon ( ☁️ ) next to your package name.

2. Select an image in PNG or JPEG format.

3. The image will be associated automatically with your tracking number.

   Note

   Having this evidence is essential if you need to escalate an incident with the carrier for damage or loss.

Frequently asked questions

Why was the final cost different from the quote? The cost is calculated using the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight. If the declared measurements or weight differ from the actual ones, the carrier may apply an adjustment. Always use exact measurements when you generate your label.

Can I generate a label without quoting first? Yes. You can go directly to Create shipment > Create label and complete the process from scratch. The quoter is optional and is meant for comparing options before you commit to a carrier.

What do I do if a service appears in the rates but I cannot generate the label? Some services require activation by your account manager. When you click Generate label, the activation request opens. See Request service activation.

What if I don’t have access to a branch to drop off my package? In that case, select a carrier that offers home pickup when you quote. That way the carrier picks it up directly at your address.

Can I upload the package photo later? Evidence can be uploaded from the screen that appears immediately after generating the label. If you miss it, you can also find it from the shipment detail in the My Shipments section.
