Automatic shipping rules

In Ecommerce Pro, you can set shipping rules that automatically calculate shipping costs for your orders. These rules can be based on the order price, the product type, or even a fixed rate.

Just keep in mind that if you want more specific rules, such as by shipping zone, that option is available only for domestic shipments.

Steps to set a shipping rule

1. Go to Ecommerce Pro > Set up your store
2. Choose your store and click Settings
3. In Automatic shipping rules, click Add to create a new rule.
4. Choose the type of shipping rule you want to set
   • Fixed rule
   • Price-based rule
   • Weight-based rule
   • Product-based rule
   • Custom method rule
5. Complete the fields for the rule type you selected.
6. Click save

Fixed rule

• Name. Add a name to your rule so you can identify it easily. This will not be visible to your customers.
• **Country.**Choose the country the shipment will leave from and select the shipment type
• Set shipping zone. Specify the state and city so the rule applies in that area
• Shipping rule. Select Fixed
• Services. Set shipping services based on two priority criteria.
  • Assigned priority order: Prioritizes shipping services in the order you define, giving preference to the first service selected and then to the next ones in that same order.
  • Priority by price: Gives preference to the most affordable shipping service among the ones you selected, maximizing shipping cost efficiency.

Price-based rule

With this rule, carrier services are chosen based on the total order price, adjusting the shipping cost to that value.

• Name. Add a name to your rule so you can identify it easily. This will not be visible to your customers.
• Country. Choose the country the shipment will leave from and select the shipment type
• Set shipping zone. Specify the state and city so the rule applies in that area
• Shipping rule. Select Price
• Minimum and maximum amount. Define the price range to apply the rule
• Service priority. Choose up to 3 carrier services you prefer

Weight-based rule

This rule selects carrier services based on the total order weight, which is useful when weight is a key factor in shipping costs.

• Name. Add a name to your rule so you can identify it easily. This will not be visible to your customers.
• Country. Choose the country the shipment will leave from and select the shipment type
• Set shipping zone. Specify the state and city so the rule applies in that area
• Shipping rule. Select Weight
• Minimum and maximum weight. Define the weight limits to apply the rule
• Service priority. Choose up to 3 carrier services you prefer

Product-based rule

This rule lets you choose carrier services based on the products in the order, prioritizing the highest-value item. It is useful for managing shipments with specific or high-value products.

• Name. Add a name to your rule so you can identify it easily. This will not be visible to your customers.
• Country. Choose the country the shipment will leave from and select the shipment type
• Set shipping zone. Specify the state and city so the rule applies in that area
• Shipping rule. Select Products and choose the products the rule will apply to.
• Service priority. Choose up to 3 carrier services you prefer
